FZ ARREDAMENTI - LOGO

Fz Arredamenti deals with the professional polishing of wooden furniture to give splendour and beauty to all your furnishing accessories, protecting them from wear and the passage of time.

Beautiful and elegant furniture treated with polishing

In some respects, our work is never in the spotlight, but when you buy a piece of furniture you must realise that behind such an object is a complex story.

Our task is to "dress and make up" any object made of wood or similar materials. In particular, the professional polishing of wooden furniture is a procedure that must be done in a conscious way by expert hands, taking into account the product being treated, its value, and its use.

FZ Arredamenti knows that polishing is the last of the production phases, and as such it must give the furniture that beauty and splendour that it could otherwise not have.

Please do not hesitate to contact our office, in San Cesareo, in the province of Rome, to request a consultation without obligation: we are at your disposal!

Indoor and Outdoor Furniture Polishing

The professional polishing of wooden furniture is the procedure aimed at obtaining a smooth, protected, and shiny surface. It takes place using both products that create a layer on the surface of the wood and products that abrade the surface itself, in order to obtain a homogeneous and reflective layer.

The polishing of wooden objects is an indispensable procedure for their preservation. It is carried out both on outdoor and indoor furniture to protect them from atmospheric agents (oxidation, humidity, mould, and fungi) and wear. Polishing preserves the original shade or colour or that given by "mordanting".

Most types of polishing involve two stages: priming and finishing. In industrial polishing, two-component polyurethane-based paints (with accelerators or catalysts) are mainly used. If you prefer to have a professional polishing of wooden furniture carried out by hand, several products exist that lead to excellent results. For polishing outdoor furniture, impregnating agents are the best solution, as, instead of forming an external protective film, they penetrate the fibres, preventing the wood from losing its upper layers.

Polishing furniture for interiors by hand is not recommended, unless you are familiar with this technique.
